This year’s Saturday field trip will be held at the Sea to Sky Gondola. Join the Sea to Sky Gondola’s education team for a Mountain sustainability or Junior Rangers program, then enjoy the mountain and lunch on your own.

Cost : 15 $ - includes lift pass, 30$ food voucher, and educational programming

Please note - These programs are delivered on the Panorama Trail. Participants will be walking and stoping to talk about different topics. The trails are wide and well maintained, but there are some ups and downs as well as some rocks and roots. This is an all weather activity and will not be cancelled for rain. Please dress appropriately.

* It take approximately 15 minutes to get up the gondola to the program meeting spots. Programs are between 75 and 90 minutes.

Mountain sustainability (grades 3 to 12 ) :
9.30am to 10.45pm (group 1)
9.30am to 10.45pm (group 2)
11am to 12.15am

Program description : A view of mountains around the world and initiatives in mountain resilience, examining how mountains are created, what changes them, and the shared responsibilities of mountain stewardship. Make the most of our unique subalpine environment with an immersive look at weather, glaciers, and biodiversity.

Junior rangers (K to 6th grade) : 11 to 12.15

Program description : We help teachers meet science curriculum requirements with a dynamic and hands-on approach to learning per grade. These courses are designed to engage students and connect them with nature and wildlife in an interactive way that encourages an inquiry-based method of learning.
