The call for Proposals For Catalyst 2026 is Now Open!

The British Columbia Science Teachers’ Association (BCScTA) is thrilled to invite educators, researchers, and science enthusiasts to submit a proposal to present at Catalyst 2026 — our annual professional learning conference dedicated to sparking inspiration and innovation in science education.

This year, we’re offering both in-person and virtual sessions to connect educators across the province and beyond!

Location: Grandview Heights Secondary, Surrey, BC & Online via Zoom

Conference Dates: October 22–24, 2026 with presentations being on Friday October 23rd

Workshop Session Types

Choose the format that best fits your session:

In-Person Options

Hands-On Workshop: Bring science to life with a 60-minute interactive session designed for classroom application. Think student perspective, hands-on engagement, and collaborative learning.

Presentation Workshop: Share innovative teaching strategies, classroom experiences, or current research in a traditional presentation format.

Exhibitor Workshop: Spotlight your organization’s products or services with a 60-minute in-person session (exhibitor registration required).

Virtual Options

Online Workshop: Present from anywhere! Deliver a 60-minute virtual session on pedagogy, research, or a hot topic in science education.

Virtual Exhibitor Workshop: Showcase your resources or tools online (exhibitor registration required).
